The Cheap Tin Jelly Moulds.

The Cheap Tin Jell Moulds got together in around 1993 to 95 to play and home record our own songs with a view to performing the odd Gig, primarily for our own gratification. Recently (2004)we got back together to write again and do a few more fun Gigs.We are largly an acoustic folk outfit, playing a mixture of American and British folk styles with a little of our own brand of musical sillyness. Although in the past we have used electric instruments playing live and when recording, the current line up is acoustic, and mostly played by...

Rob Oliver.........Banjo,Acoustic Guitar, Classical Guitar.

Paul Robertson........Vocals and Guitar.

Ron Leslie..........Mandolin, Acoustic Guitar, Bass, Kazoo. Electric Guitar.Vocals.

Emma Oliver....Guest Vocals.

Bonemill Road.

A collection of Original songs.

Our latest spat of writing has we feel, produced much of the best material we have ever written. Some of the lyrics are fairly autobiographical and others just 'mildy' apocryphal.

The songs were recorded as they were written, then we would go onto the next song, leaving the recording in a roughly hewn condition! It fits in with our own slovenly idiom of music production "Rough and Ready" Yup! We don't really have the time available to sit an get 'The perfect take" We are all married men with kids and dogs and debt and the like!
